# Version history

> Every save keeps the previous wording. See what changed, who changed it, and restore an earlier version.

Each time you click **Save changes** on a snippet, SprintBrain keeps the version you replaced.

## Open the history

* From the snippet's **⋯** menu, choose **History**.
* Or, in the editor, click **History** at the bottom left.

Versions are listed newest first. Each one shows its number, who saved it and when. The newest is marked **Current**.

## See what changed

Click a version to open it. Added lines show in green with `+`, removed lines in red with `−`.

To compare with a different version, pick one in the **vs** box. **Initial (empty)** shows the whole text as it was first written.

## Restore a version

Open the version and click **Restore**, then **Confirm restore**. The restored text is saved as a new, current version, so nothing is lost.

  Labels aren't part of the history. Adding or removing a label doesn't create a version.
